Come Support the Arts

We are proud to present the second Central Delaware Jazz and Blues Festival on Saturday, May 10 from 11:30am to 8:30pm at Killens Pond State Park.

The Festival is designed to:
Honor and enjoy the two original American music forms, Jazz and Blues, by producing a dominant cultural family event in Central Delaware.

Introduce and educate young area musicians to a broad spectrum of music and allow them to interact with some of the world's finest musicians/performers in a professional concert atmosphere.

Festival History

The creation of this event is the culmination of the efforts of Joe Baione, Lake Forest Jazz Band Director, and Matt Boller, a veteran Delaware June Jam producer. For the last four years, Mr Baione has invited a well-known jazz performer to perform with the Jazz Band in the school in which he works and then for the school community. This event has been funded in the past thru an MBNA grant and has been named among the Top 10 Excellence in Educational grants written in Delaware.

The natural expansion of the effort has been designed to create a music festival which will involve a greater number of regional and national musicians as well as school jazz bands throughout Delaware.

The event producer, DE CHARITABLE MUSIC, Inc. has been granted a 501 C3 (non-profit) status.
